Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha will reportedly get married to her longtime partner , actor Zaheer Iqbal, later this month.
News of the wedding comes just a month after the premiere of Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, in which Sinha played the dual role of Rehaana and Fareedan.
While there is no official confirmation about the ceremony, sources close to the Sinha family confirmed the reports.
According to insiders, the wedding will be an intimate affair and will be attended by family and close friends at a fine-dining restaurant in Mumbai on June 23.
Sinha and Iqbal, who have been dating for a while, co-starred in the 2022 comedy drama Double XL.
The two are yet to publicly confirm their relationship, but they keep posting each others' pictures on Instagram. They have also been often spotted attending events and social gatherings together.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Zoom, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, now TMC MP from Asansol in West Bengal, said he was unaware of his daughter's wedding plans.
"I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven't spoken to anyone about my daughter's plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn't told me anything about it," he said.
"I know what the media has reported," he said, adding he and his wife would bless the couple if Sonakshi told him about her plans.
"We wish her happiness always. We trust her judgement completely... As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions," he added.
